Absolutely loved our stay at The Blissful Retreat! The location was perfect since we had booked a kayak tour for our anniversary right down the road at the Gorge Underground. Since it was a quick two-night stay, we didn't visit Natural Bridge, but it would be a great spot to explore that as well. We did enjoy an early dinner at The Hops just up the road and loved their farm-to-table menu and were also able to buy 'drinks to go' to take back and enjoy at the cabin. As far as the house, it is exactly as pictured and has everything you need to feel right at home. The only thing to note that isn't reflected in the pictures is that the parking area directly in front of the house is a bit steep but we simply parked in the gravel ATV parking spot since our truck was a bit too long for the front paved spots anyway. Inside the beds were comfortable and overall, everything made for a great stay... including the fact that it is dog-friendly!

It was perfect, couldn't have asked for better location, the woodstove and hammocks were an extra I didn't read about. The pillows were the worst ever, its my fault I always bring my own and forgot but my son got there later and used a towel because the pillows were so bad lol it was comical.

Beautiful and relaxing. Absolutely amazing stay! The property was beautiful, clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. You can tell the hosts truly care about their guests. they even provided thoughtful extras like shampoo, body wash, lotion, Q-tips, and tampons, which was such a nice touch. Our stay was amazing from start to finish, and we felt right at home. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again! We had no complaints.

This was a great property. We ran into a small issue during the stay and they were super attentive in their response. The communication was great and the stay was wonderful. I would gladly book again! It was dark at night which made going to the bathroom a touch difficult, but that also meant you could see the stars. I just brought a flashlight with and it worked great!

My wife and myself enjoyed our stay for the 2nd time. We have definitely found our little getaway every year, our favorite parts of our stay was the quiet we had for our honeymoon and we definitely loved getting a surprise visit from Jasper(the campground cat). We look forward to seeing many years of Jasper's offspring.

The building was very spacious, clean, ans was just what my family needed for our event. The owner responded quickly to my message when I arrived. The owner was extremely accommodating to our groups needs. We loved everything.

Everything was just as picture! Heated blankets.. comfy beds.. clean bathrooms with free feminine items. Free fire wood! Within minutes of Miguel’s- Toad’s & Daniel Boone Coffee Shop! Quiet and peaceful. It’d be nice to be able to kayak on the river but honestly not a big deal at all. The area was clean and well kept.

We have already discussed staying here every time we visit RRG. The location is close to so much and the cabin is very cozy. The host (although I didn't find time to respond during my stay) reached out to check in and seemed so open and communicative. The cabin was perfect, very bright, clean and had more than enough space for myself and our two corgis to stay the weekend. The hot tub was perfect for after a long day of hiking and we even used it on the crisp morning on our last day. My only regret is not using the fire pit. Thank you all for making our experience so great!
